There is no doubt that online education possessed more attention in the bygone era. It is believed that they have various beneficial effects on the educational system. However, there are some drawbacks of online learning which influence learning quality. This essay demonstrates the advantages and disadvantages of studying using online courses.

From a positive point of view, Online courses led to an improvement in the international educational system. Firstly, online courses are more cost-effective than conventional ones. That might be attributed to the fact that students do not need to travel from their own home countries to attend courses, which means less travel and accommodation expenses. In addition, one of the benefits of online education, which has just shown up, that during disasters such as wars, epidemics, and storms, students can keep learning without any interruption. For instance, in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, all schools and universities around the world had moved all their courses to be online. All of these illustrate how online studying dramatically changed our life to be easier and safer.

On the other hand, there are some drawbacks to learning using the internet. This can be explained by that the concept of studying at schools or universities is not exclusive to learning scientific subjects. However, it has a social effect on students to learn how to communicate with each other and how to appreciate the differences between them, which helps them to evolve properly. Additionally, online education is not applicable to all fields of study such as medical and dental studies because these fields need more practical training for students. These drawbacks may have a negative impact on the social and practical life in the community.

In conclusion, learning by online means is a double-edged weapon. In my point of view, I think that the positives effects of online education in our life are more outweigh its negative impacts. Therefore, educational facilities should exert concerted efforts to develop online courses and make it more accessible for students.
