In recent years, an abundance of people has started to think that it is necessary to build expensive and modern railway lines for faster trains, which will improve the connection between other cities. However, others think that a better solution would be to develop current public transport. In my opinion, new railway lines should be built in the future for a number of reasons.
First of all, in many countries, there still are diesel trains, which are quite slow and emit a huge amount of CO2 into the atmosphere. Moreover, with a better railway’s infrastructure, the number of car’s usage might be reduced and it also would make a great impact on global warming slowing. The second positive thing regarding fast trains is that people would be able to travel between cities more rapidly and they can not be stuck in the traffic jam during their travel time, while in public transport it happens very often. As a result, society might save a plethora of time and spend it on work or study.
However, governments also should pay more attention to other transportation such as public buses, since it is very old in many countries and it has to be changed into a more modern and environmentally friendly transport. For example, old buses can be replaced by hybrid buses, which would not pollute cities’ air. Under those circumstances, people would have more clean and fresh air.
In conclusion, the renovation and construction of new or old transportation types are urgent. Nevertheless, with new railway lines establishing people’s lives and ecosystems would be improved more, since a bigger number of individuals would choose to use transportation type which is fast, saves their time, and uses natural energy sources.
