Nowadays we are producing more and more rubbish.
Why do you think this is happening?
What can governments do to help reduce the amount of rubbish produced?
Today, mankind has sharply increased the production of garbage. I believe it is the result of the lack of education people have in recycling. Political institutions can play an important role in this concern. For instance, they would increase effectively the promotion of recycling in the media.
To begin with, Human beings do not have enough knowledge about this concern. In other words, they are not familiar with the importance of recycling, the processes involved and most importantly how to do it. Peter Mckey an ecologist explains clearly this point. “People do not know how and why to separate the junk they produce, and for this reason, they just put that in the trash can without any further actions”. It clearly illustrates why it is important to educate people on how to deal with their waste properly. Consequently, the most significant reason for greater production of rubbish is the lack of ecological education.
Furthermore, The Government should play an important role in this matter. They have the responsibility of increasing ecological advertisement on the mass media. Therefore, it will create a sense of consciousness on the people. For instance, there are countries which successfully has reduced by 20 per cent the accumulation of rubbish by augmenting the budget of green advertisement. France, China, and Japan are some of them. Those countries have known how to hit the nail on the head against environmental problems.
To sum up, it is undoubtedly that garbage across the world has critically increased. It is the result of limited environmental education. Nevertheless, The Government can be crucial to tackle effectively the problem. Growing the promotion of ecological advertisements on television and the internet.
