Children are facing more pressures nowadays from academic, social, and commercial, perspectives. Which are the causes of these pressures and what measures should be taken to reduce these pressures?
It is an unavoidable reality that we are living in such a society where we expect a lot from the children but often ignore the fact that they may have limitations as well as their own expectations. It is really high time we should focus on the children and realize that they deserve to have a happy life in academic, social and commercial perspectives and their smiles cannot be faded away because of our unjustified pressurization.
The high ambitions of the guardians can be figured out as one of the most common reasons for the pressure imposed on them. It is often observed that the children are forced to perform better in academic exams because their parents want that from them. Again, the guardians often forget that their children have the right to choose their career paths. For example, if a child wants to be a singer then the guardians should not force him or her to become a doctor. The guardians have to keep in mind that only becoming rich can never be a goal of a human being too.
To overcome this situation the educational institutions can take steps by arranging counselling sessions for the children together with their guardians and discuss the issues related to the mental health of the children. It is also the responsibility of the guardians to motivate their children so that they do not get feared by the pressure of society rather they can lead their life in their own way.
To conclude the discussion, it should be mentioned that a child has every right to be happy and to ensure this; responsibility is to be taken by everyone around that child including the family members, teachers and the neighbours also.
