Sample Answer:
Sports is a leisure activity where some people enjoy spending time with friends and families and some they considered a nonproductive activity instead of spending on an important task. There are valid opinions on both sides, which I consider now.
On the other hand, some people like to spend more time on academics especially to prepare for the upcoming exams. With that, time well-spent on improving such grade. Another reason is some children do not like the sports activity itself. For example, part of the curriculum is to learn how to play volleyball. Students who are physique may enjoy playing this game because they may dominate and win easily over to those who aren’t. As a result, these children may lose their confidence and may feel helpless which leads to the dislike of the activity. Finally, some children prefer to engage in sport may not require to be physically active but more on a mental strategy which they may excel.
On the other hand, the benefits of these sports activities are highly suggested by healthcare experts which helps their brain development involving movements and critical thinking decisions on how to perform and win in sports. Socialization is also another benefit for this activity wherein interactions among members of the team and promotes teamwork. This could lead to a positive attitude development of the students towards society. As a result, people who engage in sports will promote a habit that leads to a well – balanced life.
In my opinion, sports for children is very important for the development of the physical, mental, social, and environmental aspect of life. This outweighs the negative point of view of some people. Such activities should be a wide range of sports and giving them the freedom to chose what sports they like to engage in.
