Sample Answer:

In recent years, the issue of childhood immunization has become a topic of great debate. While some argue that parents should be obliged to immunize their children against childhood diseases, others believe that individuals have the right to choose not to immunize their children. In my opinion, the health and well-being of the community should take precedence over individual rights, and therefore, parents should be obliged to immunize their children against childhood diseases.

Childhood immunization has been proven to be an effective way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and protect the health of the community as a whole. When a large percentage of the population is immunized, it creates a “herd immunity” that helps to protect those who are unable to be vaccinated, such as infants and individuals with compromised immune systems. By immunizing their children, parents are not only protecting their own children from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases, but they are also contributing to the overall health of the community.

On the other hand, allowing individuals the right to choose not to immunize their children can have serious consequences for public health. In recent years, there has been a resurgence of diseases such as measles and whooping cough, which were once nearly eradicated due to widespread immunization. This is largely due to a growing number of parents choosing not to vaccinate their children, leading to outbreaks of these preventable diseases. This not only puts unvaccinated children at risk, but also poses a threat to the health of the entire community.

In conclusion, while individuals may have the right to make choices about their own health, when it comes to childhood immunization, the health and well-being of the community should take precedence. Parents should be obliged to immunize their children against childhood diseases in order to protect not only their own children, but also the wider community. It is important for governments to implement policies and regulations that promote and enforce childhood immunization in order to safeguard public health.
