Some people think that it is more beneficial to take part in sports which are played in teams, like football, while people think that taking part in individual sports, like tennis or swimming, is better.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Some individuals believe that taking part in group related sports, such as football, are better, while others disagree and imagine that individualistic sports, namely tennis or swimming, is more beneficial. I completely agree that taking part in sports that are played in collaboration is beneficial for both individuals as well as for society as a whole. However, this essay I will discuss both points of view.
To begin with, sports that are played in groups tend to teach one the importance of teamwork and team effort. These two skills shall eventually be extremely useful in one’s life especially when they start working at an office or when they start living with their conjugal partners. For example, a study conducted by the Cosmopolitan magazine showcases that nearly 67% of workers achieve job satisfaction and gratitude when they work together in teams.
On the other hand, many argue that human interaction is being curbed when people indulge in individualistic sports. Human interaction is essential to society as it teaches one the importance of empathy and the very idea of helping one another. Regardless, people taking part in individualistic sports can also engage in human interaction when taking part in a contest. For instance, even though swimming is an individualistic sport one can sense the idea of comradeship when they participate in national level competitions such as during the Olympics.
In conclusion, sports play a profound impact on our lives and also to society. While sports that are played in groups are helpful as it teaches one valuable skill, namely teamwork, and team effort, some still argue that sports that are not played in groups are better, but as long as the essence of comradeship is possible, it is beneficial for all.
